Essence of Murli : May 30, 2014 (H&E)

May 30, 2014:

Essence:   Sweet children, you have to become karmateet before returning home. This is why no flaw should remain inside you. Continue to examine yourself and remove any weaknesses you have.

Question:   In order to create which stage is effort required? What is the effort you have to make for that?

Answer:     Anything you see with your eyes should not appear in front of you. Even while seeing, do not see. Even while living in your body, remain soul conscious. It takes time to create this stage. Your intellect must not remember anything except the Father and the home. To attain this stage, become introverted and examine yourself. Keep your own chart.

Essence for Dharna:

1. Remove your attachment from everyone and only remember the one lovely Father. Become introverted and examine yourself for defects and remove them. Become a valuable diamond.

2. Just as Baba has decorated you children, in the same way, you have to decorate others. Engage yourselves in the service of changing thorns into flowers. Remain a trustee.

Blessing:  May you be a complete soul who experiences entertainment in Brahmin life through a variety of experiences.

Every person likes to have variety in their lives. So, throughout the day, experience the variety of different relationships and different forms and you will experience life to be very entertaining. Brahmin life is a full life in which you experience all relationships with God. Therefore, do not allow yourself to miss out on a single relationship. If a slight or light relationship with a soul is mixed with this, then the word "all" finishes from "all relationships." Where there are all relationships, there is completeness. Therefore, become an embodiment of the awareness of all relationships.

Slogan:  Be one with an avyakt form, the same as the father and observe every scene of nature and you will not be caught up in any upheaval.

Daily Positive Thoughts: May 30, 2014: Desires

Daily Positive Thoughts: May 30, 2014: Desires
The symbolic hand gestures are called mudras. The mudras are didactic; they are designed to convey a certain teaching or a message.

Desires
Reduce your desires and your problems will also reduce.
Specialties
The one who recognizes one's own specialties and appreciates them is
able to use them for the benefit of oneself and others. There is
neither arrogance visible nor is there any negligence of the specialty.
Having used these specialties constantly, the beauty of this spreads
across and enriches the lives of others too. When I am able to
appreciate what I have, I am able to make use of it fully. As I
continue to use it for my own benefit and that of others, I find that
it increases too. I have the satisfaction of making the required
contribution at the right time. This earns me the good wishes of
others too.
Different Thought Types (cont.)

We have explained three different types of thoughts i.e. Necessary, Waste and Negative Thoughts over the last three days. Today we explain the last type:
Positive Thoughts
Positive thoughts are those thoughts which give us and others the experience of our original virtues like peace, love, joy, purity and power. They enable us to collect inner strength and equip us to wear a constructive attitude. Positive thinking means looking at what is beneficial in all circumstances, without being trapped in what is visible externally in those particular situations. Thinking positively involves looking at problems and recognizing realities, but at the same time being able to find solutions without being confused and experiencing feelings of powerlessness. This often requires tolerance, patience, peace and spiritual wisdom.

Positive thoughts make one internally strong and as a result our expectations of others decrease. This does not mean that they do not matter to us, but that we no longer demand love, respect, recognition, etc. from them, which is the best way to create long-lasting and harmonious relationships.

A person who thinks positively is aware of the weaknesses of others, but even then will direct his/her attention towards their positive sanskaras or personality traits. When we have inner happiness and are filled with positive energy, we have the strength to accept other people as they are without wanting them to be different. This acceptance produces more stable relationships.

Reaching the Destination of Peace on Time (Part 2)

In yesterday’s message, we had mentioned the main type of distractions that you might face in your journey to the destination of peace. The secret of not getting affected by each of these distractions is very simple – do not interact with any of them on a subtle level by giving them your mental energy of attention, but avoid them, detach yourself from them, just observe them and let them go, remaining completely focused on reaching your destination.

Imagine you are driving to your office on the highway and you are very late. There are a large number of different vehicles which you pass, either travelling in the same direction as you are or coming at you from the opposite side. You are even familiar with a lot of these people sitting inside these vehicles, because you see them every day, but you don’t even spare a second to glance at them because if you did you would lose your focus and be delayed, you would fail to reach your destination, your office in this case, on time. Meditation is exactly like this. Just as you cannot empty the highway full of vehicles, because you are in a hurry to reach office, you cannot empty the highway of your consciousness of all thoughts, emotions, beliefs, worries, opinions, desires, memories etc. some of which are even very familiar to you, just because you want to get to the destination of your inner peace. Let all of these, like the vehicles, come and go, but all you have to do is avoid them and focus on reaching your destination on time. It's as if, by the way you are driving, your body language, in this case the subtle energy of your determined thought, word has spread through the highway of your consciousness that you will not be sparing a second to even glance at any one of these on your way. If with a momentary loss of self-awareness, you do start giving attention to them, and you get lost in one of them, remind yourself subconsciously, "I am on my way back to the destination of peace, peace that I am." This will help you regain your focus and before you know it, you will realize you have arrived; you will experience your destination i.e. the peace within, and will completely believe that you are that. And it will be the most blissful experience that you have felt in a very long time.
Message for the day
Faith in others enables them to be powerful.

Expression: Faith in others is usually mistaken for blind faith - observing helplessly only hoping for the best in our heart. We then consciously don't do anything but just hope for the best. In such a situation we subtly experience fear or tension. But this is not true faith nor is the outcome usually right.

Experience: Faith in others means to remain alert to what is going on and then to fill the other person with the strength of our faith to such an extent that they feel able to do whatever needs to be done. Our faith will fill them with confidence and they will be able to give their best to the task.

Daily Positive Thoughts: May 29, 2014: Letting Go of Sorrow

Daily Positive Thoughts: May 29, 2014: Letting Go of Sorrow

Letting Go of Sorrow

If I allow bitterness and resentment to fester inside, it will make my relationships guarded and unsatisfying. The more I close down to others, the more I become a stranger to myself. By letting go of sorrow and negativity, I can keep my nature open and loving. Remaining open to life, with its constant adventures and opportunities to grow, is the only way to reach my full potential.

Free from Waste

In order to be the best, it is important to be free from waste. Even a drop of something negative spoils the taste and utility of something positive. In the same way, if I want to make my thoughts and life beautiful, I need to keep myself free from waste and negative. To be the best, I need to free myself of waste. Today I will check if I am free from waste. Whenever I catch myself spending time and energy with anything waste, I will stop, check and change. This will keep me positive throughout the day.

A Simple Definition Of Contentment

If one was asked to define contentment, how would one do the same? A very simple and easy to understand, definition of contentment, is:

"At the present moment:

* wherever you are is wherever you are meant to be,

* whatever you are doing is whatever you are meant to be doing and

* whatever everyone else is doing is what they are meant to be doing."

To experience constant contentment, we need to become aware of all the things that make us discontent (dissatisfied) and free ourselves from those things (ideas, opinions, objects, people). We don't have to reject them or distance ourselves from them, but a detachment from them, a detachment at the level of the consciousness that will bring back our inner freedom. Detachment is then accompanied by the experience of a deep, inner awareness of satisfaction and stillness, because you stop being dependent on anything or anyone outside ourselves.

It is highly unlikely that we will arrive at this deep state of fulfillment very soon - though we may touch it and experience it temporarily. It is only by understanding and accepting completely that everything is the way it is meant to be at every moment, both outside our minds and inside our minds that we move closer to being content.

A Parallel Between Physical And Spiritual Energy

Energy is neither created nor destroyed, but transformed into other energy forms. Energy follows a direction in its constant movement. In a spontaneous way, it tends to go from a concentrated state into a state of expansion. For example, after a while a full glass of hot water goes cold. This is a law of physics according to which all things tend to go from a high-energy state to a low-energy state. Applying these principles to the area of our conscience, our thoughts and feelings, we can discover similarities to these laws. When our thoughts (which are metaphysical (non physical) energy are focused on the outermost layers of our conscience, towards the external world (objects, possessions, people and so on), our creative capacity decreases, weakening us on entering into this expansion and not having sufficient power (concentrated energy) to take on negative situations and circumstances that we are faced with.

On the other hand, if we focus on our intrinsic, original and genuine qualities (peace, love, power) we accumulate more energy and our inner strength can grow. This means that we are capable of creating, of having more willpower and, therefore, strengthening our self-esteem. Positive thoughts are a high-frequency vibration that transports a great deal of concentrated energy, capable of influencing the atmosphere and the consciences of other people in a subtle way, transforming any negative vibrations. Negative thoughts are a low-frequency vibration that causes the energy to become dissipated. They weaken and block communication. They destroy harmony (peace).

Message for the day

To be prepared for obstacles is to remain cheerful under all circumstances.

Projection: Generally there is always a wish not to have to face any obstacles. When we begin something new we usually have a thought to have things going perfectly well. So when obstacles do come we are not prepared and we experience dissatisfaction and sorrow.

Solution: Whenever we start something new we need to prepare our mind that we are sure to be faced with obstacles. Along with it we also need to understand that these obstacles actually teach us something new and it is only with such situations we can learn and progress. When we have such thoughts we will be able to remain cheerful under all circumstances.

Daily Positive Thoughts: May 28, 2014: Peace of Mind

Daily Positive Thoughts: May 28, 2014: Peace of Mind

Senses are connected to the mind, so let me maintain peace of mind by using my eyes, ears and mouth with utmost care.

Originality

The one who allows himself to be totally influenced by the personality
of others is the one who loses his originality. He begins to become
increasingly distant from his own original qualities. Thus there is no
consistency in his words and in his actions. On the other hand the one
who recognizes his own original qualities continues to express them in
everything he does. I am never satisfied with anything that happens in
my life when I continue to be influenced by the traits of people around
me. I truly enjoy each moment when I am in the state of my
self-respect that allows me to be in touch with my innate qualities.
Then I am able to appreciate the specialties of other people and learn
from them without losing my own inner qualities.

Different Thought Types (cont.)

We have explained Necessary and Waste Thoughts in the last couple of days. Today we explain:

Negative Thoughts

Negative thoughts not only harm you but have an impact on others also. These thoughts disturb your peace and weaken your inner strength. If these thoughts occur on a regular basis, they can cause health problems, both physical and mental. They can even become destructive.

Negative thoughts are based on the five vices primarily - lust, anger, greed, ego, attachment. They are chiefly caused by selfish and harmful reasons, without taking into account the values and inner qualities of the person e.g.

* I think they should pay me more without having to do any more work to earn it (greed).

Negative thoughts also arise from unsatisfied expectations, in disagreements, in laziness, revenge, racism, jealousy, criticism, hate and an excess of power.

* My boss never appreciates my work but he always values my colleagues more (jealousy).

Reaching The Destination Of Peace On Time (Part 1)

The objective of meditation has always been reaching the destination of inner peace. The process of meditation is like a journey to that destination, which many human souls have undertaken since thousands of years. After a life and in fact many lifetimes of indulging in habits of anger, fear, ego, sorrow, jealousy, hatred, greed etc. all of which blocked our access to this inner pure emotion and made us believe that these are normal emotions, believing completely that our true nature is peaceful, which is an experience opposite to all these; might seem difficult at first. Only our own experience can lead to a change in our deeply held beliefs, which then makes it easy for us to incorporate peace as an integral part of our personality.

As you dive into you own consciousness, with the objective of searching for and reaching your subtle destination of inner peace, you will encounter some distractions in your journey. Some of the most important of such distractions include:

* thoughts in the form of negative memories of the past; over-thinking about the present scenes and day-to-day actions in your life; desires, worries and unnecessary thinking related to the future, waste thinking about the natures and actions of peoplewhom we come into contact with the most, etc.

* the inner, subtle voices of the many incorrect beliefs, which we have picked up from people by whom we have been surrounded since we were small;

* thoughts and emotions related to deep habits of identifying with and getting attached to things we are not, like the physical body, material possessions, people, our role in society, money, places, opinions or viewpoints, hobbies or interests etc.

(To be continued tomorrow …)

Message for the day

Success comes to the one who has a balance of being a master and a child.

Expression: When we make a contribution in the form of an advice or a suggestion, we usually do it with confidence. That means we are sure of ourselves and we are masters. But the problem usually comes when people don't accept our suggestion. W are then not able to accept their decision or criticism.

Experience: We need to have the perfect balance of being a master and a child. It means that along with being a master while giving the suggestions we need the consciousness of a child while it is being heard. That means we are totally ready to accept the comments/criticism that we might be faced with.
