Daily Positive Thoughts: July 21, 2014: Carefree

Breathtaking Scenes of Mount Fuji, Japan

Carefree
When the soul is tired it is restless and there is a lot of worry; we think I have to do this and that. All I really have to do is to remain peaceful and there will be the feeling that everything will be OK. We will feel that we are able to remain carefree and restful.

Attention

We sometimes tend to take on a lot of tension for the responsibilities
that we have to take up. We find it very difficult to relieve
ourselves from this tension, especially when we feel there is demand
from the situations or expectations from people beyond my capabilities.
During demanding situations specially and in general too, the way to
relieve ourselves from tension is to have constant attention. It is
important to have attention during difficult times, but it is also
necessary to keep attention on the self even during normal conditions.
Attention brings checking and changing and relieves us of tension.

Meditation - A Process Of Cleansing, Dialogue And Joining

Meditation can be defined as a process of cleansing, a process of dialogue and a process of joining. Today we take up:

Cleansing
Meditation is a useful method to help human beings redirect their life positively and healthily, and to achieve inner stability. The word meditation comes from the Latin word mederi, which means cure. Curing the inner self is not a matter of taking medicines, but it involves re-establishing the balance through knowing oneself, having the correct attitudes and making the correct use of mental and emotional energy.

In meditation, we learn to observe our inner self and recover the resources that can cleanse (heal) and harmonize us: peace, love, truth, wisdom, purity and happiness.Through concentrated thought we learn to let these positive and pure energies manifest (show) themselves in our conscience and in our day-to-day actions.

Soul Sustenance

Simple Exercise For Experiencing Inner Peace And Compassion (Kindness)

Sit comfortably and relax. Now focus your attention on your breathing… let it find its own calm rhythm… gently breathe in peacefulness and breathe out any negative feelings.

Allow your mind to slow down… do not judge your thoughts as good or bad, accept them and let them go.

Now focus on your inner peace…that place that is deep within yourself… that is peaceful… where your inner compassion (kindness) and forgiveness lies… here you are patient, tolerant, generous, understanding… all these qualities are here which make up your inner compassion. Experience the feeling of compassion… and see it focused as a point… a point of light…situated at the center of your forehead.

Now raise your awareness beyond yourself… to a place of unlimited peace… see it first as a small point of light. As you move towards it, it becomes brighter…it is like an ocean of peace… a space of calm, of love, of compassion… you feel connected to that ocean of deep peace and love… it surrounds you like a shawl, it fills you up, absorbing every part of you with a comfortable warmth.

Rest in that feeling of being loved… it is like energy… a vibration… a light filling you… until you overflow…

Now, slowly you move away from the ocean – as a point of light. You still have the memory of being loved… and can reconnect at any time you want.

Gradually become aware of your body.

Message for the day

Faith enables the creation of elevated fortune.

Projection: Usually there is a tendency to leave things to destiny. When something goes wrong, we blame fate for it. Then we feel the situation to be totally out of our control, which prevents us from taking responsibility for our own life. And we will not be able to work in any way for bringing about a change and improving the situation.

Solution: Instead of blaming fate for whatever is happening, we need to take up responsibility for creating our own fortune for the future. When we have faith in ourselves, we will take up responsibility for our own life. We will, then, be able to work at making our each thought beneficial, contributing to our success, making a better future for ourselves.

Synopsis: November 27, 1978

Only those who are indifferent to temporary name and fame can be loved by everyone.

Points of Self Respect:

We, the great trikaldarshi souls who are equal to the Father, the renunciates who renounce everything for the self and become bestowers of fortune for others, the constant donors and bestowers of blessings who are ignorant of temporary desires,  the salvation army clever in maintaining courage and making all difficulties of others easy, the constant yogis constantly absorbed in love for the Father and constantly remaining full and content, are perfect images that grant visions and grant others visions...

When you become indifferent to temporary name and fame, you will automatically be loved by everyone all the time. Renounce even the slightest trace of begging for name and fame. Only such renunciate souls can become bestowers of fortune for the world. When you renounce something, fortune automatically follows. Desire finishes your good actions. Therefore, become totally ignorant of desire.

When you experience the greatest of all calamities to be a scene of entertainment, you have the stage of a master creator.   Stabilize in the stage of a master creator and put an end to your creation's difficulties of unlimited sorrow and peacelessness. Play the part of a remover of sorrow and bestower of happiness. Bless your creation with the great donation of your treasures of peace and happiness. Become those who resolve the problems of many others. Understand the philosophy of the karma of each one and grant them liberation and salvation. Do not accept facilities, but become a bestower and bestow.

Become a soul who is constantly full and satisfied with all attainments. The slogan of Brahmin life is: No wealth is lacking in the treasure-store of a master almighty authority. Constantly keep this slogan in your awareness. Together with this deep knowledge, let there be deep transformation.  Instead of crying out in distress, let words of wonder emerge from your lips. This is known as the stage like Angad. The stage of a yogi is said to be when even sorrow is experienced as happiness and when there is equanimity in happiness and sorrow, in praise and defamation.

Consider sorrow to have the greatness of bringing your days of happiness. This is known as being a perfect yogi. Those who transform an enemy into a friend, so that no enmity remains, is known as having the power of transformation.

To use everything in a worthwhile way means to become an embodiment of success at the present time and also to accumulate for the future.

To use everything in a worthwhile way means to save and increase. The main basis of attaining success is to use your every second, every breath and every treasure in a worthwhile way with the method of “Greater success through less expenditure” for the self and for others. You should have to use fewer thoughts and experience greater attainment.

Use all your treasures, virtues and powers practically and they will continue to increase.

Donate all the treasures you have received from the Father.

Do not consider any gift given by God to be your own. When there is the consciousness of “mine”; that this is “my virtue” or “my power”, then that treasure will inevitably be lost.

The means of becoming such a constant embodiment of success is to have faith in One alone, to have one strength and one support. Faith makes you constantly carefree, and those who have a carefree stage will definitely succeed in whatever task they carry out.

The basis of attaining success is truth. Truth should be filled with divine manners and an accurate code of conduct. When your words and deeds are filled with manners, you will attain success. The easy way to become an embodiment of success is to receive blessings from everyone. Those children who receive blessings from the Father and from all others do not experience anything to be hard work. They are constantly successful.

In this Brahmin life:

1       Those who use their time in a worthwhile way, claim a right to the fortune of the kingdom for the full period.

2       Those who use their breath in a worthwhile way will be able to remain healthy for many births, and never experience any breathing problems or heart failure.

3       Those who use the treasures of knowledge in a worthwhile way become so sensible that they don’t need to take advice in the future from any advisers for many births.

4       Those who use all their treasures of powers in a worthwhile way, that is, those who use them practically, become full of all powers. All powers automatically give them the experience of unshakeable and guaranteed success that is free from all obstacles.

5       Those who use all their virtues in a worthwhile way become such embodiments of virtue that, even in the final period, their non-living images are portrayed as “deities full of all virtues”.

6       Those who use their treasure of physical wealth in a worthwhile way remain prosperous for 21 births.

Daily Positive Thoughts: July 20, 2014: No Task Too Difficult

Daily Positive Thoughts: July 20, 2014: No Task Too Difficult

Liz Arch and Ashika Gogna- Venice, California

No Task Too Difficult

If you do everything with the feeling of happiness, there will be no task too difficult to perform.

Stability

When we are faced with difficult situations, we usually tend to have a
feeling that we have no resources or are not able to make the best use
of the resources within for best results. Thus we are not able to
experience real progress. On the other hand we only tend to experience
a lot of negative feelings. When we learn the art of being stable in
the most negative situations, we will know how to use the treasures
that are hidden within ourselves. Our mind is no longer disturbed with
waste or negative thoughts and we find it easy to face and learn from
each and every situation.

A Spiritual Perspective Of True Love

Emotional love can flower into true love when the fire of emotions cools down and is substituted by a wiser and more mature relationship. True love needs a fresh and renewing atmosphere, without fears. When you feel spiritually full, you feel flowing over with pleasure, happiness, wellbeing, and that state helps you to accept the one whom you love as they are, because from your fullness you give and share and you don't need or expect anything from the other. While you need something that you want the other to satisfy, you will have expectations and the fear that those needs might not be satisfied, and you will get frustrated more easily. When you feel like a being of peace, a being of love, a tranquil being, a being that is spiritually full and satisfied, your relationship with others is a relationship of sharing on a level on which fear is not generated. You are not asking for or taking anything from the other. An elevated sharing of love, of happiness, of knowledge, of wisdom takes place, in which you do not generate a dependency on the other.

Attachments and dependencies, fears and insecurity, block our experience of love, of peace, serenity, freedom, happiness. When you have a feeling of love that takes you to a state of joy, to wholeness, but then you attach yourself to the object of your love, be it a person, or a property, automatically the feeling changes into fear: you fear to lose the object of your love and, instead of feeling wholeness and enjoyment, you feel fear. Over time that attachment turns into a dependency and you start to become inwardly empty: that is, your energy level goes down. Love in its purest form is a like a spring that pours forth for the benefit of others. Learn the art of loving, being free and allowing to be. Pure, true, love is an unconditional love that flows freely. Do not cling (hold on to). Love does not cling.

Creative Visualization

The incorporeal (non-physical) soul, situated in the centre of the forehead consists of three energies. Although each energy can be given a different name, it is actually the same energy, the soul, functioning on three different levels at the same time. These are the mind, which is the thinking faculty (energy) of the soul; the intellect, which is the decision-making and visualizing faculty (energy) of the soul and the personality characteristics, commonly called sanskaras.

In the practice of meditation, on one hand, the mind is used to create pure, positive and powerful thoughts or affirmations based on the basic qualities of the soul like peace, contentment, happiness, love, joy, power, etc. Along with that, the intellect is used to create visual images of the same thoughts, which is called creative visualization. This process brings about a positive change in our sanskaras. This is the basic principle used in the Rajyoga meditation taught by the Brahma Kumaris. Creative visualization may be used in various ways to experience true relaxation of the mind.

Message for the day

With benevolent feelings and good wishes we can free people from worrying.

Projection: When we come across someone who is faced with a difficult situation because of which he is worrying, we too usually tend to think about it. Instead of helping the other person to be free from worrying, we too begin to worry. This doesn't help either of us in anyway but only adds to the negativity of the situation.

Solution: We need to develop such benevolent feelings for the one who is going through the situation that the power of our positive feelings will spread to them too. It will act like the light of the lamp, which helps to dispel the darkness around. Only when there is positivity in the mind will they be able to think of some solution.
