Daily Positive Thoughts: June 10, 2017: Give Time

Daily Positive Thoughts: June 10, 2017: Give Time

Give Time

Whatever or whoever you give time to, you give your attention to. Whatever gets your attention gets your energy. Whatever gets your energy must grow. So what will you give your time to today - who will get your attention? What or who needs your attention? Is it a task, a process or a relationship? Or are you waiting for these things to give you time and attention? How long have you been waiting? Why are you waiting? Are you a leader or a follower, a master or a slave? Mmmm...all questions today!

Time Management With Ease (Part 3)

Very often, apart from creating the right type of thoughts, which help in proper time management, what is required is a good balance. I need to check myself whether my time given to different actions is being distributed properly. These actions could be your work, your hobbies, your personal life, your health, your relationships and all other areas of your life. Very often we define success wrongly for ourselves and run after it with the wrong beliefs acquired over a long time. As a result, our time sometimes gets utilized in the wrong way. So, I need to check aspects like which relationships of mine are the most important ones. I need to also check how much importance do I give to my work and to what extent I give it time. Also, is the balance between my personal and professional life okay? I analyze all this, keeping in mind the correct definition of success, which is not only material success, but a content mind and heart. Contentment is inner success and more important than material success. Once I understand my priorities correctly, my time starts flowing in the right direction, in the right manner.

I need to also check what I may gain or lose in every action of mine in the form of my internal mind’s treasures like peace, love and joy. Suppose I am running after my work ambitions in the search of success, but am I neglecting my relationships, my health or my peace of mind in the process? Also, some relationships may be giving me temporary happiness but are they taking me away from my relationship with God? After all, if my relationship with God is strong, all my other relationships will be successful. The answers to all these and many such similar questions lead me to a good time distribution in my life, also called time management.

The Secret of Happiness

The secret of happiness is to be free of fear. Fear is like a toxin that runs through much of our thinking. It feeds on insecurity, feeling of loss, loneliness, inadequacy and attachment.
You are loveable and loving. Accept this as Truth. Appreciate and care for yourself - truly, deeply, intensely, in a way that reflects your real value.
Then you will automatically have the same regards for all other living beings and things.

Message for the day

To contribute specialities is to have the power to cooperate.

Expression: Each individual is unique with his own unique set of capabilities. The one who is aware of his specialities and contributes them to any task is the one who is able to cooperate under all circumstances and with all people. There are no conditions attached to contribute these resources.

Experience: When I contribute to every task with my own specialities I have double satisfaction. I have the satisfaction of having contributed something and I am also free from expectations from others. I also find that because I am able to give unconditionally, others too are able to cooperate with me.

Daily Positive Thoughts: June 09, 2017: Doing Your Best

Daily Positive Thoughts: June 09, 2017: Doing Your Best

Doing Your Best

As you do, so you become. Every action that you perform is recorded in you, the soul. These imprints ultimately mould your character and destiny. When you understand this principle, you will pay more attention to bringing your best to everything you do.

Time Management With Ease (Part 2)

Whenever we are very busy, we need to take a break for a minute or two and talk to ourselves and give ourselves a few positive thoughts. In this way, the negative thoughts will be replaced and reduced in your mind. We need a concentrated mind and intellect to perform actions in a positive manner. E.g. if at a certain point of time, the requirement of your mind is peace, say to yourself - My real nature is peace and I am originally a peaceful being or energy. Also, look at everyone around you and create the simple thoughts - The energy of my peace is spreading to everyone around me and giving peace to them. In a similar manner, if you are stressed because of a relationship, talk to yourself - I am a sweet natured soul and I have to give love to everyone, even if I am not receiving the same from others. You could also think – I am radiating love to my home or my office and changing its atmosphere to a one filled with good wishes and good feelings.

This can be done for one minute every hour. As explained in yesterday’s message, depending on what you need, create the relevant thoughts. Remember, these thoughts will make your workplace and your home as per what you think and feel. Also, before that happens, your own mind will become just like what you think. Your thoughts will influence your feelings and attitudes accordingly. Relationships will become successful and people will start co-operating with you much more. Also, you will be able to satisfy people much more with your words and actions.

(To be continued tomorrow …)

EGO

The difficulty with ego is that it is deeply concealed. Most of us don’t even know we have it.

Ego destroys love. It destroys the ability to learn, so there is no more give and take. No more love.

We go through many kinds of situations all day long so we should make sure we don’t stop exchanging love.

Ego can be overcome by developing humility. If we don't know how to bow love finishes.

Message for the day

To be committed towards one's own progress is to help others to move forward

Expression: The one who is committed towards his own self-progress, is free from criticizing others when he sees them make mistakes. Having realized what is wrong, such a person makes corrections immediately. He is able to realize his own mistake in a second and take the chance for self-improvement. This naturally gives the ability to help others also to bring about a change for the better.

Experience: Since I am committed to my own self-progress, I am able to become stronger and stronger with each passing situation. I find that I become a source of inspiration for those around, as I continue to learn from all that happens. I don't put people down for their mistakes, but am able to give them the help to be better.

Daily Positive Thoughts: June 08, 2017: Words of Peace and Purity

Daily Positive Thoughts: June 08, 2017: Words of Peace and Purity

Words of Peace and Purity

A pure mind makes for pure words. It is said that speech may exalt someone to kingship or send him to the gallows. I should never let myself indulge in false, bitter and vicious speech. My words should reflect my true, inner nature, that of purity and peace. Words, once spoken, can never be recalled.

Time Management With Ease (Part 1)

Living a life full of work pressures and deadlines in the present world of busy lifestyles and challenging relationships can be very stressful for many people at times. What should one do to remain free from stress and at the same time keep one’s efficiency at the highest? Whenever one starts a new task, it is important to take care of a few important things.
E.g. if I am a project leader in my office, I need to analyze, apart from the various tasks of my work, many other aspects. The first and most important aspect is time planning, which means I know exactly how I will complete all the different aspects of the project successfully. I have to do this within the time frame I have at hand. A very important aspect of time planning is how I keep my thoughts as less as possible. This is because the more the thoughts that I have in my mind, the more time it will take me to finish any task. It is commonly experienced that by practicing simple techniques like meditation to silence the mind, work efficiency can be increased. That means more work will get done in less time. A simple method of relaxing the mind is stopping my work after every hour and performing a thought traffic control of the mind. Traffic control means creating few positive thoughts of different types of qualities like peace, love and happiness or even characteristics like success, victory and faith. You can do this for a minute and then continue working. This will keep you focused and charged mentally for the next one hour. This is a principle of the mind and its connection with the body. The more peaceful the non-physical mind, the more efficient the physical body will be in performing actions correctly.

(To be continued tomorrow …)

The humble potato will:

Adjust to almost any recipe & go with almost anything you make.

You can boil potatoes for ease, mash them for comfort, roast them to greatness & fry them for fun.

They can be the star of the meal or the supporting role.
Be like the humble potato.  Be versatile & adjust.

Message for the day

To have the spirit of sharing is to be constantly happy.

Expression: There are lots of resources in each one's life that can be shared with others. The more there is the consciousness of giving there is the ability to give and share these inner resources with others. New treasures are discovered and used for the benefit of all and also for the self.

Experience: There is constant satisfaction in my life when there is the spirit of giving. There are no expectations from others, but only an awareness of what I have. Life becomes more and more satisfactory and I feel richer for having given unconditionally. There are also constant good wishes that I receive from others.

Daily Positive Thoughts: June 07, 2017: Feeling Great

Daily Positive Thoughts: June 07, 2017: Feeling Great

Feeling Great

Enthusiasm is the master key to feeling great. It keeps the self extremely positive beyond the pull of negativity while simultaneously making others feel uplifted too. To develop enthusiasm, have faith in the goodness of life, and in the original goodness of the self and others.

What is Will Power?

The expression will-power is often used to refer to our ability to put into practice the ideas we know to be for our well-being and to resist actions (karmas) which are harmful. This is directly related to the soul's intellectual strength. When we speak of weakness or strength in the soul we are referring to the intellect. In the case of a weak soul (one with lower will-power) it is almost as if the intellect plays no part in determining which thoughts arise in the mind, but they come as if pushed by the sanskaras (mainly in the form of habits) or are triggered by the atmosphere around or the moods of others. On the contrary, a powerful soul (one with higher  will-power) enjoys the experience of its own choice regardless of external stimuli (influence).

Meditation develops the intellect to such an extent that this degree of control is possible. A practitioner of meditation can be in the midst of a situation of intense disturbance, yet remain so unshakeably calm that the inner strength becomes a shelter and inspiration to others lacking in that strength. The weak soul is like a leaf at the mercy of the storm, the strong one, a rock in the face of a rough sea.

Down Memory Lane

Memories pop into our minds out of nowhere, bringing with them buried feelings. If it's a happy memory, it gives us a boost. If it's not, it triggers the associated negativity, causing heaviness in our minds.
Reframe the negative memories & free the mind. How? When a memory comes up, accept it & then spotlight the positive. What good came out of this? Did I gain something new, a skill, a friend, an opportunity, a lesson, resilience, confidence?
Reframing takes the sting out of the memory. If reframing doesn't work with certain memories, talk to someone you trust.

Message for the day

To listen to others fully is to be able to be free from repeating mistakes.

Expression: When there is criticism that comes one's way, it should be carefully analyzed to see if there is any truth in it. If there is correction can be made accordingly. On the other hand, if others' criticism is ignored or there is a tendency to defend oneself, there cannot be any correction and mistakes are repeated.

Experience: When I listen to others with honesty, I am able to discover even the most negligible aspect in my behaviour which I can change. So I find myself constantly improving and progressing and moving on towards success. So having brought about a change, even the criticism that comes my way stops.

Daily Positive Thoughts: June 06, 2017: The Secret of Immeasurable Wealth

Daily Positive Thoughts: June 06, 2017: The Secret of Immeasurable Wealth

The Secret of Immeasurable Wealth

The secret of immeasurable wealth is to need less. The wealthiest human beings ultimately give away vast amounts of the money that they have spent half their lifetime acquiring; This suggests that the motivation behind all their efforts was not the pursuit of wealth but something else. The need to prove something to oneself, for instance? Replace need - whether it be at an emotional or physical level - with an unshakeable faith in one's self and in God. Neither will ever let you down, if you hold fast to this faith.

Situation Proofing Yourself (Part 3)

Situation-proofing can be defined as: Keeping your consciousness free from the questions marks and the exclamation marks mentioned in yesterday’s message, over a long period of time. This is a powerful consciousness with little room for the negative or waste thought patterns. Such a positive consciousness carrying person then has a positive attitude. A positive attitude then influences our perception of problems and makes it positive. This finally leads to positive or correct words and actions which are required to solve the problem in front of us.

Thus, in short, our thoughts are the foundation of our perception. Negative perceptions stand on the foundation of thoughts of negativity which are filled with questions and exclamations created sometimes over a complete life time. Positive perceptions stand on the foundation of thoughts of positivity over a long period of time. It’s not just about that particular moment of time or creating positive thoughts at the time, when you have a difficult situation in your life. It’s a complete life period or a practice of many years or at least a few months. The mind does not become powerful overnight. Its many different situations, achieving victory many times in keeping the mind positive in all those situations. This transforms and keeps the perception positive in circumstances that one is going to be faced with in the future. Thoughts of positivity are like clean water poured in the bucket of the mind which is used to creating thoughts of negativity, which are like unclean water in the bucket. A large volume of clean water or thoughts of positivity is required to be poured into the bucket so that the unclean water is completely replaced by the clear water of positive thoughts. So, pour positive and beautiful thoughts into your mind every day for a few minutes through spiritual knowledge. And slowly over a period of time the question marks and exclamation marks in situations which confuse you and reduce your positive perception, will be removed. As a result you will become situation-proofed.

How strong is your compassion? What is it able to do?

Compassion soothes & empowers the minds & hearts of others, without draining its own strength. Because compassion will let go of what hurts the heart &, instead, hold on to what heals.

That's why compassion is able to empathize & see the inner need behind the expression. It's able to look behind anger & see sadness, & behind coldness, it can see fear.

Message for the day

To consider myself to be big means to have a generous heart.
Projection: When I consider myself to be big, I usually want others to give me respect and listen to me. But not always do I find others listening to me, I am then disappointed and try to use more of my authority in a forceful way.

Solution: To be big means not to expect to take but to be a giver. I understand that since I am in a better position, I need to give. This attitude will help me get others' good wishes and I continue to achieve success.
